Introduction
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD) is the National Conservatoire of Wales, offering a specialist environment in which students undertake intensive practical training for professional performance and performance-related careers.

- The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is located in the grounds of Cardiff Castle, overlooking a huge area of parkland, and only five minutes walk from the city centre
- The College presents over 300 performances every year, including concerts, opera, musical theatre and guest recitals
- Excellent facilities include three recital rooms, 50 practice rooms and a fully-equipped Sony sound recording studio
- The College's specialist tutors are recognised professionals in their various fields
- The combination of music and drama courses creates a stimulating environment and a variety of creative opportunities
- The College has close links with many of the major professional organisations in Cardiff including Welsh National Opera and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales
