Introduction
University of Wales Trinity Saint David is the newest in Wales, yet it's roots stretch back to the creation of the founding institutions in 1822 and 1848. The new university has already secured a multimillion pound government investment which will be reinvested to provide an environment befitting twenty-first century learning, teaching, research and scholarhsips. Amongst these major developments, students remain at the heart of the University.
The campuses at Carmarthen and Lampeter offer a beautiful and enriching envrionment with everything on one site.
The Carmarthen campus was established in 1848 as an Anglican Foundation to train teachers for Church schools in Wales and England. Today, the campus enjoys an excellent reputation for education, the creative, cultural and performing arts, as well as for courses related to the outdoors and community development. It is a small welcoming community of students and faculty offering study abroad, undergraduate and graduate programmes with an extensive range of courses on offer.
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David's Carmathen Campus is an ideal place to study and to live. The teaching facilities, information and library services, accommodation and students' union is all on one campus providing a safe and welcoming environment for students. Sweeping lawns and landscaped areas form a picturesque setting for the mix of Victorian and modern buildings, which include all student residences
