Introduction
Aberystwyth University was established in 1872 and is located on the west coast of Britain close to the Snowdonia National Park and Pembrokeshire. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains within a county with the lowest crime rate in the UK. It comprises of two main campuses, the old college (on the sea front) and the School of Art. It has a friendly, community atmosphere with good links with business and has excellent local resources including The National Library of Wales. It has about 7% of its students from overseas.
