Wales Week in Taiwan
In August 2004, the British Council in Taiwan celebrated a Welsh festival showcasing the richness and diversity of Welsh culture. The celebrations featured Welsh Art, Education, Sports and Cultural activities and were enjoyed by audiences throughout Taiwan.
The Wales Education Day on the 21 August was a great success and was supported by the Wales International Consortium. Following a series of presentations and activities relating to higher education in Wales, a scholarship prize from the University of Wales Bangor was awarded. The prize winner will have the opportunity to study English next summer at the University of Wales Bangor, with a return air ticket provided by the British Council Taiwan.
