International Students: Newport best in Britain for lectures, teaching and support 

International Students have branded Newport’s University as the best in the country for the quality of its lectures and standard of its teaching staff. Newport also ranked top for the support provided to international students during their studies. The International Student Barometer measured the opinions of international students who finished their time in the UK in summer 2011.

Graham Wood, Dean of International Affairs at the University said: “Newport has always received very positive feedback from its international students on their experience with us. The latest results from the Barometer provide further evidence of why Newport is so popular.

“The quality of teaching staff is one of the most important things for international students so we are delighted that they have ranked us as the best in Britain. The support we offer is also very important and this is reflected as well.

“Having a strong and well integrated international student community is of great benefit to Welsh and UK students as well. It helps to widen their horizons and make friends all around the world.”
