Chinese Students Find Employment
Chinese students graduating from institutions in
Wales are being snapped up by employers in China .

Of the twenty Chinese business students graduating with from the University of Wales Aberystwyth , all have been guaranteed professional employment when they return to China this summer.

Professor Gary Akehurst, Director of the School of Management and Business said “This is great news! Wales higher education is renowned worldwide for its close liaison with business and industry, providing students with expert skills and qualifications”.

“We are confident that all our international students will secure professional work when they return home”.

The Wales International Consortium, representing all higher education in Wales and responsible for attracting international students to Wales, reported a record number of 5,437 full time international students studying in Wales this year.

Virginia West , the Director of the Consortium said “International students are happy to pay for the quality education they receive in Wales because they know their future career prospects are secured”.

“International students always remain incredibly loyal to Wales , acting as ambassadors and creating international links for business and industry in Wales .”

Yang Hui Ping a Chinese student graduating form the University of Wales Aberystwyth said “I studied Business Finance because in China , companies are desperate to recruit employees who can demonstrate financial management skills. I am guaranteed an excellent job when I return to Shanghai this summer!”

Yang Hui Ping was also enthusiastic about living and studying in Wales “I’m going to miss Wales because everyone has made me feel very welcome. I’m really excited about the prospect of returning home and developing professional links between China and Wales
