Undergraduate Foundation Programmes:
The development of Undergraduate Foundation Programmes to enable international students to access higher education opportunities in Wales.
The programmes offer international students the opportunity to:
- Develop English language skills
- Develop research and study skills
- Investigate the benefits of studying in Wales
- Secure a guaranteed place in Wales higher education
Pre-Masters Programmes:
Courses to enable students, with and without traditional backelors undergraduate degrees, to matriculate to masters degrees in Wales.
The courses enable students to:
- Study in their home country
- Bridge the gap between their current qualification (for example 1 3 year Undergraduate Diploma) and entry to a UK Masters
- Develop resreach skills and academic English
- Study academic modules (for example international Business)
Clearing House for Wales:
The development of a comprehensive assessment and referral system to enable international students to access the full portfolio of courses available in Wales.
The Clearing House for Wales offers international students:
- Priority access to courses by using "fast track" admissions procedures
- Priority referral systems enabling international students to access the full portfolio of courses throughout Wales
- A guaranteed place in Wales higher education, according to students' specific interests, priorities and academic achievements and members' institutional requirements.
Access to Resources and Information:
Providing member institutions with access to knowledge, resources and market intelligence, to support their marketing activities and admissions systems
Resources and information include:
- Shared knowledge, resources and experience within the consortium among member institutions
- Access to commercial resources to enable the a common understanding of international qualifications, education systems, international institutions, ranking and league tables and resource mail-bases
- Access to market intelligence, research and publications
- Access to 'in house' resources developed by member institutions
