The Wales International Consortium is committed to increasing the recruitment of full-time international students into higher education in Wales and developing the international market share for Wales.
Strategic Aims
- To develop collaborative recruitment and marketing initiatives to support and complement the activities of member institutions
- To promote Wales higher education as a competitive provider of quality, tradition and innovation in education
- To promote Wales as a highly desirable study destination offering a guaranteed place for all international students, a safe and friendly environment and a cost effective investment
- To develop systems and procedures in order to provide international students with access to study opportunities in Wales
- To encourage and facilitate the exchange of good practice in terms of knowledge, skills and experience, and to lead by professional practice
- To raise the international profile of higher education in Wales and to act as an ambassador, within the context of international marketing and public relations
- To use successful recruitment statistics for international students entering Wales higher education to support lobbying activities.
In response to the Strategic Aims , the Wales International Consortium is committed to the development of projects that:
- Demonstrate collaboration at a national and international level
- Demonstrate good practice in the exchange of professional skills, knowledge and experience
- Provide competitive strength on a pan-Wales basis, using combined resources and scales of activity beyond the capacity of individual institutions
- Provide shared benefits to all of the member institutions
