Wales at a Glance

Lampeterelan valley

Set in the Teifi valley in south west Wales, in the safest county in the UK, Lampeter is a town of 4,000 with almost 2,000 students, which sits at the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains in Ceredigion in the middle of idyllic Welsh countryside. Three National parks are close to the town and a river runs through the campus. It has a unique, friendly, community atmosphere within a thriving market town. There is a very strong focus on the university which enjoys its status as the smallest in Europe whilst also being the oldest degree awarding institution in England and Wales, apart from Oxford and Cambridge.
