Newport
Newport is “booming” according to the Sunday Times newspaper. It has a vibrant music scene and a fast developing waterfront which is home to a brand new arts centre. In 2010 the golfing Ryder Cup will be hosted by the Celtic Manor Resort just minutes away from Newport City Centre. Newport lies at the gateway to Wales. It is under two hours from London, half an hour from Bristol and Cardiff and an hour from Swansea. The city centre houses one of the university’s campuses whilst the historic village of Caerleon is home to the other.
