Wales for Success

Wales at a Glance

Pontypriddllangorse lake

Pontypridd is situated between the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park and Cardiff. The campus sits in Treforest which was once a mining village that played its part in south Wales’ industrial economic boom of the 19th century. Now the University of Glamorgan forges the academic power that drives today’s modern economy. Surrounded by rolling hills, you are greeted by images of classic Wales – tranquil and beautiful, with easy access to the Brecon Beacons mountain range and opportunities for horse riding, canoeing, rock climbing, waterskiing and more. In 2007, the University opened a brand new campus in Cardiff, the Cardiff Centre for Creative Industries.
