Hongbo Hei (China), LLM Commercial Law

After completing an LLM in Commercial Law at Bangor Law School in 2008, Hongbo Hei returned to China to prepare for the Chinese National Judicial Examination. He is now a fully qualified Chinese Lawyer and works for a major International firm based in China.

Lyle Skains (US), PhD Creative and Critical Writing 
I'm originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (and yes, it's difficult to spell, but we're in Wales, where they invented difficult spelling). I've been around a bit, studying for Bachelor's degrees in Texas and New Mexico, spending a bit of time as a scientist in Pennsylvania and a professional writer in California and the Southwest.

In the fall of 2003, I did a semester abroad in Bangor during my undergraduate study and I absolutely loved it. You can’t beat the beautiful location, the outdoor activities, the history and language. The lecturers are friendly, the courses stimulating and unique, and the school is well-connected, supportive and flexible.

Yusi Lee (China), BSc Psychology 
When I was 18 I decided to come to the UK to study by myself. At that time I was young and didn’t have any experience of being away from home so my family and I wanted to make sure I went to a relatively safe place. I found on the internet that Bangor was quite a small University city with less than 14,000 people and has a low crime rate compared to other University cities.
