The lecturers take on roles outside of their job to ensure that students are happy. My favourite part of Uni life is being able to knock on the lecturers’ office door and ask for advice when needed. However, the programmes were very challenging. The constant ‘push’ for excellent work was very fascinating to me as it helped bring out the competitive nature of my personality.

My first impression of Newport is that Newport is not a big city but compact and friendly. Newport is a good city to live, work and study, especially for an international student who has not studied abroad before. Caerleon is also a small village but is the most suitable environment to study and to make new friends!

My name is Huina Wang I am a graphic designer from Shanghai in China.  I studied the MA Design (It was called MA Multimedia and Information Design then.) in the Design department at the University of Wales, Newport between September 2003 and February 2005.  After I graduated from the University of Wales, Newport, I returned to Shanghai and found a job with the Shanghai Tianda Advertising Company.
