Cardiff University

Chikaodili Rosemary Iwobi (Nigeria), LLM Commercial LawChikaodili Rosemary Iwobi

I chose Cardiff University because the Law School offered the courses that I’m interested in but I was also attracted by the Law School’s very good reputation, not just within the UK but also outside of its borders. The Law School was actually awarded a top Grade 5 rating by the UK Government in a Research Assessment Exercise.

I have worked as an Associate Solicitor and Advocate before coming to undertake the LLM programme in Cardiff. I enjoy the course as it is structured in a way that fully exploits research techniques and independent study is also encouraged. I have found this invaluable because I have practical opportunities to develop research skills, legal writing skills and presentation skills.

The Law School staff are really brilliant in their areas of expertise, yet so supportive and willing to help. I’ve found the university staff so friendly and accommodating and I highly appreciate the opportunities provided by the school, it’s really motivated me to fully exploit my potential

Cardiff is a great place to study. I’ve found it easy to adapt to the living environment. And the city and its environs are beautiful. The University is really an integrated part of the Cardiff city and the community, everything is within a short walking distance.
