First alumni tour of India 'a great success'
Cardiff Business School’s first alumni tour of India, with visits to Mumbai and New Delhi, was held in November 2007. Reunion events were held in both cities for alumni, faculty and friends of the School to recount memories of studying with old friends.
The events, held at the Blue Sea in Mumbai and the Imperial Hotel in Delhi, celebrated the 20th
anniversary of the School’s inauguration, though the teaching of business at Cardiff dates back 140 years.
External Relations Manager Laura Davies says: “This is my first trip to India representing the business school and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the School’s alumni and parents of our current students.
“What we’re working on now is what happens next – looking at setting up special interest groups and regional chapters for our alumni and organising the events that will meet their needs. We’re talking to alumni across the globe about the alumni services they hope to gain from us in the future.”
