A five million pound investment in up to 125 new research studentships and bursaries launches a five year programme of postgraduate expansion at Bangor University. The International Film School Wales at University Of Wales, Newport has this year announced that it will offer two merit-based scholarships from the USA for entry in 2009/10. These awards are available to students from the US intending to study on the MA/MFA Film and MA/MFA Animation programmes. The awards are tuition fee scholarships of £8750 (or $12,500 USD) and the successful candidates will be judged by a panel of established professionals including co-founder of Aardman Animation David Sproxton, and celebrated film director Ken Russell.
