Wales attracts international students from over 120 countries, enrolling students onto some 5,500 different courses.Welsh Higher Education universities launch over 100 new courses every year and attracts about £900m of research funding. This year international students (from outside the European Union) enrolling on courses increased to over 11,000 students with an average of 10% of the student population made up of students from countries outside the EU.
